Lower Juba (Jubbada Hoose) is an administrative region (gobolka) in southern Somalia.[1] With its capital at Kismayo, it lies in the Jubaland autonomous region.
Lower Juba is bordered by Kenya, the Somalian regions of Gedo, Middle Juba, and the Indian Ocean. The region is named after the Jubba River that passes through it and empties into the Indian Ocean at Goobweyn.
The Jubbadda Hoose region consists of four districts:[2]
The Bajuni Islands are also within the region.
